Mapping a network drive persistently in Windows is simple. Not too bad in nautilus but leaves a problem, that certain programs still don't see the share.
For this the hapless user has to edit fstab - a task which only occasionally results in success for the average person and one of the main reasons I never recommend linux to anyone. As when 20.04 refused to mount my network drive. Took months to find the answer.Surely somebody with the right skills could produce a gui that works safely and reliably? I would chip in a small sum for the common good ...
